Hi everyone!  My name is Jaimie Wilkins and I am the new Patient Care Coordinator here at Exclusively Faces Cosmetic Surgery and Medispa.  I wanted to take a moment and update everyone about my experience thus far with the Obagi Nu Derm System.  For as long as I can remember, I have always been a product junkie when it comes to skin care and cosmetics.   From drug store brands to department store brands…I had them all!   It wasn’t until I started working at Exclusively Faces, that I came to realize the huge difference in the Obagi Nu Derm System versus department store skincare.   I alway assumed that since I had pretty good skin that I didn’t need a medical strength skincare program.  I also thought that since I was buying department store/name brand skin care that it was almost doing the same job that a medical strength skincare would do and thought that a medical strength system would cost a lot of money.  I also didn’t realize that department store skincare only treats the very top of your skin…not the lower levels..the levels that are most likely damaged due to sun damage etc.  I used to be a tanner and would go to indoor tanning salons…ok first of all NEVER EVER do that!  It doesn’t matter if you only go during the summer months or year round… any kind of a tan is sun damage…doesn’t just have to be a burn.  I learned about the Obagi Nu Derm System and started using this about five weeks ago.  I liked the idea of helping repair the damage that has yet to show itself and get my skin back on the right path prior to my tanning.  One thing about this skincare system, you are paying very close to what I paid for department store skincare..but you get soo much better skin care.  Department stores do not sell Obagi products because they are medical strength and you can only get this at a doctors office.  Now that I am in my fifth week…My  peeling around my chin area is for the most part over but I get the occassional peel but thats good because that is part of the process and it isn’t very noticable.  This system is a little different that most skincare out there but it definately works.  I am already seeing results and I am five weeks in.  My freckles have lightened up and my skin is brighter!  Along the way, I also had a Hydrafacial which I highly recommend to anyone who is on the Obagi NuDerm System.  This facial is really good for clearing out the poors and congestion that the Obagi NuDerm system pushes out of your skin.  It also is a great exfoliator as well.   The Hydrafacial  exfoliates dead skin cells and extracts impurities with a vacuum-based skin abrasion tip while simultaneously bathing the healthy underlying skin with active serums that cleanse deeply, exfoliate thoroughly, hydrate completely and provide residual antioxidant protection. It definately cleared out all of the blemishes and dead skin that I had!   I have around 7 more weeks and then I am in the maintenance phase of the system.  I strongly recommend this product to everyone.  The price is similiar to department store skin care but the results are so much better!    I will follow up with everyone in a few weeks to let you know how things are going with the system.  Call the office today to set up a complimentary consultation to see how the Obagi Nu Derm Skincare System will work for you!!
