Telephone Consult

When you call Exclusively Faces Cosmetic Surgery, our staff will spend time with you discussing what concerns you most.

After answering your questions we will arrange a complimentary consultation for you. A credit card guarantees your appointment time with Dr. Karen. Your card will not be charged at the time of your visit, it is complimentary.

However, if you fail to show and do not cancel/reschedule your appointment within 24 hours your credit card will be charged the standard consultation fee of $150.00.

Our receptionist will call and remind you of your appointment one to two days prior to your arrival.

The Office Meeting

Dr. Karen will be scheduled to spend upwards of 20 minutes discussing your concerns. In addition you will be spending at least an equal amount of time with our patient care coordinator, so expect to spend at least an hour with us at Exclusively Faces Cosmetic Surgery.

Our receptionist will welcome you to the office, and have you fill out patient information forms. These forms are available for you to download at the bottom of this page and will help speed the initial consultation process.

After your initial questions are addressed, Dr. Karen will sit and discuss what concerns you most. Photos will be taken and you will be treated to Digital Imaging, which will assist Dr. Karen with planning your surgery. Once an understanding of your goals is reached, we will highlight your consultation and explain your fees for the surgery as well as an estimate of the costs for anesthesia and for the use of a facility.

Digital Imaging

Exclusively Faces Cosmetic Surgery in Virginia is a computerized center offering the latest advances in Digital Imaging. Plastic surgeon Dr. Karen in Virginia utilizes imaging and morphing software, Mirror Imaging. Preoperative pictures are taken with a highly advanced digital camera. These images are stored for comparison with postoperative results.

Mirror imaging software lets Plastic surgeon Dr. Karen in Virginia recall your photos with the touch of a button. In addition, Dr. Karen can utilize his software to simulate what you might look like post operatively, thereby clarifying both his and your surgical expectations. By morphing and altering your preoperative photo Dr. Karen can, in front of your eyes, show you what his pre-surgical planning can hopefully achieve.

Patients must understand that this technological breakthrough serves only as a simulation. Morphing results do not guarantee a determined surgical result, but only serve to discuss patient as well as surgical expectations.

Plastic surgeon Dr. Karen in Virginia can image a patient to better illustrate what can be possibly achieved surgically. Procedures that can be illustrated include Rhinoplasty, Chin/Malar implant, Facelifting, Forehead lifting, Eyelid Surgery, Lip enhancement as well as many other procedures. Best of all, there is no extra charges to have your imaging done.

Operative Fees

Surgical, anesthesia and facility fees will be presented to you at the end of the consultation. It is office policy not to quote surgical fees prior to your visit. If addressed via the telephone or internet, our staff will give you rough estimates of prices. Each surgical procedure is uniquely tailored to each individual and, therefore, there is no standard price for any given procedure(s).

There are two facilities where surgery can be performed. Dr. Karen performs surgery in his completely-equipped operative treatment room. An anesthesiologist, who is board certified administers intravenous sedation while Dr. Karen utilizes local anesthesia. Healthy patients that can undergo three hours of sedation can have their surgery at the office. This offers a private and more intimate setting for surgery. The anesthesiologist fee is based on an hourly rate and is $450 for the first hour and $300 each subsequent hour. A separate room charge of $750 is paid to help restock supplies. Dr. Karen can also perform surgery utilizing only local anesthesia. This removes the anesthesia cost to the patient. Only select patients and procedures can be performed under local anesthesia only.

The Surgi-Center offers comprehensive care to the surgical cosmetic patient, and it is where Dr. Karen performs a majority of his surgery. The staff there is dedicated to the complete care of the cosmetic patient, including confidentiality. The Surgi-Center is an ideal place to have your cosmetic procedure(s) performed. Estimates of the facility charge as well as the anesthesia fee will be given to you at your consultation.
